Back in June, I had the pleasure of photographing Allie and Chase's June Wedding at the Bramblewood. Allie reached out to me through Instagram and from there, we started planning. I was so excited to finally shoot at Bramblewood, as many photographers know how beautiful the venue is inside and out.
When I arrived, I gathered my usual venue photos and then found my way over to Allie and her girls getting ready. They provide the Bride and her Bridesmaid's with a house to get ready in which has a very cute, antique-chic room for photos and getting dressed. Allie had a beautiful Mori Lee dress and the cutest, blue shoes to go with it! While I gathered the last of the detail photos with her awesome, wooden bouquet, Allie and her Bridesmaid's enjoyed an early lunch on the front porch.
As usual, when I am done hanging out with the girls, I go on my way to gather up all of the guys which is usually somewhat of a challenge. I always have fun photographing the guys because they typically goof off and it allows me to grab a few candid photos of them being themselves.
Of course, once the "getting ready" photos are complete, my nerves start to hit me. In my everyday life, I am almost always arriving right on time or a few minutes late. On wedding days, I keep the schedule in my hand at all times and constantly remind everyone what time it is. Nothing makes me more nervous than falling behind especially for photo reasons. Although for Allie and Chase, the forecast called for rain at the time the ceremony was supposed to start. The coordinators actually started the ceremony a few minutes early and we wrapped up just in time. As quickly as the ceremony ended, we also knocked out the formal wedding party photos.
Allie, Chase, and their friends and family braved the rain to finish up formal photos so we could get the party started. Just a short walk from where we did photos, is the famous Bramblewood Barn. Being a barn, it obviously has a rustic vibe but I was so in love with the white lights that were hanging from the ceiling. I was anxiously awaiting the first dance all day so I could get photos of Allie and Chase under the lights. Overall, they had an awesome reception with great music and tons of dancing!
