Claire and Sean had the absolute best weather possible for their Halloween wedding! In Pittsburgh, October weather can be very unpredictable but they definitely lucked out for their special day especially because the leaves stayed on the trees after a couple rainy, windy days.

The ceremony took place on the North Side at Calvary Methodist Church. The stained glass windows mixed with the sun shining through really accented the gem-colored scheme that Claire and Sean for their day. From the moment I saw how Claire coordinated the colors for the bridesmaids and groomsmen, I was in love! Not only that, but they chose Jim Ludwig's Blumengarten for their florals which provided the girls with unique, hooped bouquets.

Following the ceremony, I wanted to capture as much of the fall colors as I could so we took a stroll down the street to get Claire's number one requested photo, the "walking in the street while looking candid shot". At the same time, a lot of the North Side neighbors were outside passing out candy for Halloween so after we stole the show from the kids, I took Claire and Sean to Allegheny Commons Park for their portraits.

Of course, anytime one of my bride's has a veil, I spend a lot of time focusing on close ups. I think these might be some of my favorites of all time! The backlighting along with the cathedral veil and Claire and Sean's willingness to let me be up in their faces really helped too.

From there, we traveled up to Mt. Washington for the reception at The LeMont. Everyone in Pittsburgh loves the LeMont for the food and the view so I was excited to shoot here from the time I first spoke to Claire. The panoramic windows provided us with the best backdrop for first dance photos.

Between Claire growing up as a dancer alongside her bridesmaids and a lot of guests who enjoyed cutting the rug, the reception seemed to fly by and allowed me to capture a ton of fun photos.
